Is Hisone Tablets a steroid?
Yes. This medicine is a corticosteroid use to treat various allergic and inflammatory conditions and metabolic disorders.
Is Hisone 5mg safe during pregnancy?
Consult your doctor before taking any medicine if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Your doctor will decide whether you should take this medicine or not depending upon the severity of the disease.
What happens if I take too much of this medicine?
Take this medicine only as directed by your physician. If you or anyone accidentally took too much of this medicine contact your doctor immediately. Symptoms of overdosage might include nausea, vomiting, fluid retention, high blood sugar or GI bleeding.
Is Hisone 5mg addictive?
This medicine is not habit-forming in nature, but it may cause withdrawal symptoms such as muscle/joint pain, fever and general discomfort if the dose is reduced or stopped abruptly. In such cases, contact your doctor.
Can you overdose Hisone?
Taking too many hydrocortisone tablets as a one-off is unlikely to harm you. If you're worried, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. If you take too much hydrocortisone for more than a few days, it could harm your health. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible.
What happens when you take too much Hisone?
An overdose of hydrocortisone is not expected to produce life threatening symptoms. Long term use of high doses can lead to thinning skin, easy bruising, changes in body fat (especially in your face, neck, back, and waist), increased acne or facial hair, menstrual problems, impotence, or loss of interest in sex.
Is Hisone a strong steroid?
Hisone is a type of medicine known as a steroid (corticosteroid). Steroids are not the same as anabolic steroids. The strength of the products range from 0.1% (1mg of Hisonein each gram) to 2.5% (25mg of Hisonein each gram).
