How do you use ciloxan?
Tilt your head back, look upward, and pull down your lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place a 1/2 inch (1.5 centimeters) strip of ointment into the pouch by squeezing the tube gently. Look downward and gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Roll your eyeball in all directions to spread the medication.
How long should I use ciloxan?
The usual dose in adults and children (one month and over) is five drops of Ciloxan in the affected ear(s), twice each day for nine days. Your doctor will tell you how many drops you need to use each day. These dosing instructions will be printed on the label your pharmacist puts on the bottle or carton.
Can ciloxan be used as ear drops?
Ciprofloxacin drops are often used for the eye, but it is safe to be used in the ears as well. If you are concerned, talk to your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
Is ciloxan used for conjunctivitis?
Ciloxan Eye Drops are used to treat certain types of eye infections caused by bacteria. Your doctor will usually prescribe this medicine to treat a type of eye infection called bacterial conjunctivitis or an infected ulcer of the cornea. Ciloxan Eye Drops contain the active ingredient ciprofloxacin hydrochloride.
